"I stumbled across Mels Brushes a while back after I did a search for custom Illustrator brushes. I became bored and disillusioned with the 800,000 image clipart collection I own. Barely 10% of this is really usable.
 
When I saw the quality of Mel's stuff, I was pretty much hooked! As my site offers personalised greeting cards, her images were ideal! They are bright, colourful and different enough to stand out from the usual  set of images and clipart online. I am mostly a fan of the vector stuff as I like to break apart and recolor various items. I see little problem paying that bit extra for the commercial licence. It's worth it as it allows unrestricted use with a clear conscience!"

If you are simply browsing or contemplating making a purchase from this site, you’ve come to a great place!  The site is easy to navigate, there are a variety of products to choose from, and the purchase/checkout process is straightforward.  I have been delighted with the excellent quality of every purchase made here. I own several of Mel's brush sets, and a few vectors. I love 'em. I work with her brushes regularly. They're versatile, fun and well made. I highly recommend purchasing the commercial license. Do it!! It's inexpensive, and you'll give yourself a warm cozy feeling in the knowledge that you're supporting a fellow designer. Also, it's nice to be able to deal with Mel directly as opposed to some anonymous corporate drone. Lastly, as an American I particularly enjoy reading her email and website with a fake English accent in my head. Ta.

If you are looking for affordable, high quality, unique brushes - look no further! Mels Brushes cannot be beat! As a designer, I am very selective with the products I purchase and use. I have never been disappointed with anything I have gotten from Mels. She even goes so far as to take requests, and within days I found it on her site! I am very impressed and highly recommend Mels Brushes!

Recently I was looking for just the right designs for an invitation with a Japanese flair and couldn't find what I needed until I saw your Japanese Flowers, they added the perfect finishing touch.
